1) What are you currently reading? Tell us about it!
Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. I got to meet her at YALLFest earlier this month! I’ve heard the ending sucks (and I think I know what happens)… We’ll see.
2) How many books have you read this year? Do you set reading goals for yourself?
35 so far… I wanted to read 52 this year but I don’t think it’s gonna happen! 😦
3) What do you think are the best and worst book-to-movie/TV show adaptations?
The Perks of Being a Wallflower film was so amazing and true to the book! I hated the My Sister’s Keeper movie because they totally changed the ending!
4) What is the first line of your favorite book?
“I was born with water on the brain.”

Also my all-time favorite quote is “Not all those who wander are lost.” I’ve never read Tolkien but I want it tattooed on me!
I Like Big Books 
I’ve read Tolkien, and I love that quote, too. I also like the other part of the quote ~ “Not all that glitters is gold.”
I write The Homemade Creative, and have been reviewing books there (and on my previous blog, Our Little Bit Of Wonderful) for over three years, now. Starting January 1st, I’m launching a sister site called The Homemade Creative Reads, and I will have to keep an eye out for your memes, and participate there. I’m glad I found your blog. ♥
I loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower! I have not seen the movie-I have been scared. I don’t want it to ruin the book, but you have given me hope. I may have to find it On Demand! ahhh I agree with you on My Sister’s Keeper. The book was amazing. I loved Perks, the movie, I have not read the book, but I’ve heard it’s so good. 🙂 That quote stuck with me!! 🙂

I loved My Sister’s Keeper, and I heard the movie stunk, so I didn’t even bother. I just started Allegiant today and I’m hoping I’m not disappointed like I’ve heard others have been. Hope to make it to the Twitter party tonight!
I also agree about ‘My Sister’s Keeper’! I hate when they change endings. That said, if I hadn’t read the book already, I would probably have liked the movie much more…
Perks of Being A Wallflower is also my favorite, and it did not disappoint as a movie either.
How cool that you got to meet Veronica Roth. Yeah…I wasn’t a big fan of the last book, though. It wasn’t even the ending necessarily for me. It was the whole thing. My Sister’s Keeper (movie) was TERRIBLE. The book was great and I wish they’d made the movie more like it.

I love the quote you picked from Perks. It’s so true too. I’m really hesitant to read the Allegiant series. I’ve seen a lot of grade school/teenagers reading it (which is totally fine) and I’ve heard mixed reactions from completely disappointment to “these are the best books ever!” When you get two extremes like that for books, I get worried…
